Kako kaže, nikada nije vjerovao da će se naći u ovoj situaciji, zato je svoje stanje krio od drugih, ali s obzirom da su troškovi liječenja dostigli određenu svotu, koju njegova porodica više sama ne može finansirati, odlučili su pomoć potražiti od dobrih ljudi.
Edinu je početkom ove godine otkriven Hodgkinov limfom, poznat i kao Hodgkinova bolest. Kod Hodgkinovog limfoma, stanice u limfnom sustavu rastu abnormalno brzo i mogu se širiti izvan limfnog sistema. Kako Hodgkinov limfom napreduje, on onemogućuje sposobnost tijela da se bori protiv infekcije, točnije oslabljuje imunološki sustav.
Nažalost Edinova bolest je dostigla IV stepen, tako da je pred njim izuzetno teška i duga bitka, koju će uz pomoć dobrih ljudi nada se dobiti. Samo jedan od lijekova koje Edin mora koristiti iznosi 1300 KM, a radi se o kapsulama Natulan.
