Popularna aplikacija unijela nemir: Jeste li Rusima dali svoje podatke i fotografije?
Facebook i Instagram posljednjih su dana puni fotografija umjetno postaranih korisnika, kako onih bogatih i slavnih tako i “malog čovjeka”.
Pravnica Elizabeth Potts Weinstein tvrdi da aplikacija FaceApp koja stvara te fotografije nije tako bezazlena. Na Twitteru je upozorila na uslove korištenja aplikacije, na koje svi korisnici moraju pristati ako je žele koristiti, piše Index.
“Ako koristite FaceApp, dajete im dopuštenje da koriste vaše fotografije, ime, korisničko ime i vaš izgled za bilo koju svrhu, uključujući komercijalne svrhe, poput billboarda ili oglasa na internetu”, napisala je.
Podijelila je i upozorenje Scotta Budmana.
“Svakih nekoliko godina FaceApp se opet pojavi. Zabavan je. Privlači ljude. Ali i čuva vaše lice, zajedno s nekim vašim privatnim podacima. Pazite”, napisao je
Oni koji instaliraju aplikaciju i prihvate uslove njenog korištenja FaceAppu daju “stalnu, neopozivu, besplatnu i univerzalnu” dozvolu za “korištenje, reprodukciju, modificiranje, adaptiranje, objavu, prevođenje i stvaranje drugih djela”.
Vaše fotografije i podatke mogu koristiti kako god žele. Prema nekim upozorenjima, čak i ako ste aplikaciji odbili dati pristup fotografijama pohranjenim na vašem uređaju, ona im može pristupiti.
One koji se boje krađe podataka naročito uznemiruje činjenica da je njen kreator Yaroslav Goncharov, bivši inženjer Microsofta i Yandexa – Rus. Forbes ipak ističe da prema posljednjim saznanjima vaši podaci i slike ne odlaze u Rusiju.
Naime, stručnjak za sigurnost na internetu poznat kao Elliot Alderson (pravog imena Baptiste Robert) skinuo je aplikaciju i utvrdio da ona na server učitava samo one slike koje joj priložite. Taj se server ipak ne nalazi u Rusiji, već u Americi. Serveri za FaceApp.io nalaze se u Amazonovim centrima u Americi. Zasad nije poznato koliko zaposlenici FaceAppa, koji se ipak nalaze u Rusiji, imaju pristupa podacima korisnika, a na Forbesov upit za komentarom nisu odgovorili.
Činjenica jest da FaceApp popravlja svoje algoritme na fotografijama koje korisnici učitaju. Na upite medija nije odgovorio ni Goncharov. (Tuzlanski.ba)
