Tisuće stanovnika Francuske pridružile su se u subotu tradicionalnim prvomajskim prosvjedima širom zemlje unatoč restriktivnim mjerama uvedenim zbog suzbijanja širenja covida-19.
Zahtijevali su socijalnu i ekonomsku pravdu te su prosvjedima otvoreno iskazivali protivljenje vladinim planovima koji se odnose na promjene naknada za nezaposlene.

U francuskoj prijestolnici sindikalistima su se pridružili i članovi pokreta “Žutih prsluka” koji su prije tri godine pokrenuli val antivladinih prosvjeda, kao i radnici zaposleni u sektorima teško pogođenim pandemijskim ograničenjima, poput radnika u kulturi.
Sudionici marša nosili su zaštitne maske u skladu s pravilima te su isticali transparente s natpisima: “Dividende, a ne naknade za nezaposlenost prihod su lijenih ljudi” i “Želimo živjeti, a ne preživljavati”.
“Puno novca ide onima koji imaju puno, a manje novca ide onima koji nemaju ništa, što se odražava na plan reforme osiguranja u slučaju gubitka radnog mjesta, koji želimo ukinuti”, rekao je Philippe Martinez, šef sindikata CGT.
Većina demonstracija održana je u mirnome ozračju, premda je policija u Lyonu rastjerala skupinu od oko 200 demonstranata koji su bacali petarde, tvitali su iz prefekture Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes.
