Prije 27 godina ubijena je mladost Tuzle: Vrijeme prolazi, a krivac je i dalje na slobodi
Prije 27 godina u Tuzli se dogodio najteži zločin nad civilnim stanovništvom koji je počinjen na okupljalištu mladih, odnosno Kapiji. Građani će se i danas s bolom u grudima i suzama u očima prisjetiti 71 osobe koja je usmrćena agresorskom granatom.Kobnog 25. maja 1995. godine, tačno u 20:55 sati granata ispaljena sa srpskih položaja sa planine Ozren na glavnom okupljalištu u centru Tuzle usmrtila je 71 osobu, a život je od tog trenutka u cijelosti promjenjen kod skoro 200 ranjenih.
Prosjek dobi ubijenih građana je 21 godina, a najmlađa žrtva je dvoipogodišnji Sandro Kalesić kojeg je geler pogodio u srce dok je sjedio s roditeljima u jednom kafiću.
Masakr na Kapiji poznat je i kao zločin nad tuzlanskom mladošću, a obilježavanje 25. maja danas će početi u 9:30 sati polaganjem vijenaca i cvijeća civilnim žrtvama u kompleksu Slana Banja gdje se i nalazi vječno počivalište ubijenih.
Za 11 sati najavljena je komemoracija i polaganje vijenaca i cvijeća civilnim žrtvama na mjestu stradanja, odnosno Kapiji, a u 20:55 sati oglašavanjem sirene Tuzlaci će se prisjetiti stravičnog trenutka kada je prije 27 godina bačena granata.
Za masakr na Kapiji u Tuzli pravosnažno je osuđen general bivše Vojske Republike Srpske (VRS) Novak Đukić. Iza zatvorskih rešetaka trebao bi provesti 20 godina, međutim, on se nije odazvao izvršenju kazne pod izgovorom da se nalazi na liječenju u Srbiji.
Iako je za njim raspisana potjernica, Đukić trenutno ne može biti izručen BiH jer ima srbijansko državljanstvo. Ali, kaznu može služiti u Srbiji, jer je ta država 2010. godine potpisala sporazum sa BiH koji omogućava međusobno izvršenje kazni, ukoliko to zatraži Sud BiH, što još uvijek nije učinjeno.
