Protesti u nekoliko američkih država protiv restrikcija zbog koronavirusa
Protesti u nekoliko američkih saveznih država ovoga su tjedna tražili ublažavanje restriktivnih mjera nametnutih kako bi se suzbilo širenje koronavirusa, dok će pojedine savezne države u petak predstaviti hodogram ukidanja restrikcija.
Protesti su održani u proteklih nekoliko dana u državama Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, Sjeverna Karolina i Utah.
U srijedu su prosvjednici automobilima zakrčili ulice glavnog grada države Michigan, Lansinga, zahtijevajući ublažavanje ograničenja kretanja i poslovanja u toj saveznoj državi, u kojoj su na snazi jedne od najoštrijih mjera.
“Frustrirani su jer guverner razmišlja u kategorijama ‘nužnih’ i ‘ne-nužnih’ poslova, umjesto da razmotri koji se poslovi mogu sigurno obavljati”, objavio je na Twitteru republikanski kongresmen iz Michigana.
“Mali dio države prosvjeduje i to je njihovo pravo”, rekla je demokratska guvernerka Michigana Gretchen Whitmer za CNN.
“Što su duže vani to je veća šansa da prošire COVID-19”, dodala je.
Neki utjecajni američki konzervativci, poput radio voditelja i političkog komentatora Rusha Limbaugha, podržali su takve prosvjede.
Neke države u petak predstavljaju plan ukidanja restrikcija
Američki predsjednik Donald Trump, koji želi što prije pokrenuti ekonomiju, u četvrtak je predstavio smjernice, u tri faze, za otvaranje zemlje.
Međutim, odluku o primjeni plana ostavio je guvernerima, iako je ranije ovoga tjedna kazao da ima “apsolutnu” ovlast u tom pogledu.
Trump je u četvrtak rekao da zemlje koje ispunjavaju kriterije savezne vlade mogu početi u petak s prvom fazom ukidanja restrikcija, a očekuje se da će neke savezne države u petak objaviti hodogram ukidanja restrikcija.
“Imamo vrlo različite države. Ako pogledate Montanu, Wyoming, Sjevernu Dakotu – to je puno drugačije od New Yorka, puno drugačije od New Jerseyja”, kazao je Trump.
Očekuje se da će republikanski guverneri Teksasa i Floride predstaviti plan postupnog pokretanja gospodarstva, dok će grad Jacksonville na Floridi dozvoliti otvaranje parkova i plaža uz neke restrikcije.
“Ponovno otvaranje će trajati te će se sprovesti kroz promišljene odmjerene korake”, napisao je na Twitteru gradonačelnik Jacksonvillea Lenny Curry.
“Dok otvaramo područja važno je da ljudi i dalje prakticiraju socijalnu distancu. Otvorimo plaže i parkove uz ograničenja. Krećite se. Nema velikih skupina”, dodao je.
U proteklih mjesec dana je preko 22 milijuna građana SAD-a dobilo otkaz, stoga Trump želi što prije pokrenuti ekonomiju kako bi amortizirao negativne učinke na gospodarstvo.
Zdravstveni stručnjaci upozorili su, međutim, da bi prijevremeno ukidanje restriktivnih mjera moglo rezultirati brzim širenjem virusa.
SAD ima najviše potvrđeno oboljelih od koronavirusa, preko 671.400 osoba te preko 33.200 mrtvih.
