Robert Prosinečki novi selektor reprezentacije BiH
Na današnjoj sjednici Izvršnog odbora Nogometnog saveza Bosne i Hercegovine odlučeno je da Prosinečki bude novi selektor reprezentacije Bosne i Hercegovine.

Izvršni odbor Nogometnog saveza Bosne i Hercegovine danas je na sjednici na Ilidži jednoglasnom odlukom imenovao hrvatskog stručnjaka za nasljednika Mehmeda Baždarevića na klupi bh. reprezentacije.
U užem izboru za selektora bio je i bh. trener Amar Osim.
Prosinečki je imao impresivnu igračku karijeru i jedan je od najboljih nogometaša s prostora bivše Jugoslavije. Nastupao je za dva najveća španska kluba Real Madrid i Barcelonu, a s Crvenom zvezdom osvojio je naslov klupskog prvaka Evrope 1991. godine.
Trenersku karijeru počeo je 2006, kad je postao pomoćni trener u reprezentaciji Hrvatske, a 2010. preuzeo je Crvenu zvezdu, s kojom je dvije godine kasnije osvojio Kup Srbije.
Vodio je još i turski Kayserispor, a posljednji posao prije preuzimanja bh. selekcije bio mu je u Azerbejdžanu, gdje je vodio najbolju selekciju te zemlje.
Težak zadatak pred novim selektorom
S Azerbejdžanom je stigao i do 76. mjesta na FIFA-inoj rang-listi, a u oktobru prošle godine napustio je selektorsku poziciju nakon 21 utakmice na klupi reprezentacije te zemlje.
Prve ispite na klupi reprezentacije Bosne i Hercegovine Prosinečki će imati 28. i 31. januara, kada će Bosna i Hercegovina igrati prijateljske utakmice protiv Sjedinjenih Američkih Država i Meksika.
U tim utakmicama vjerovatno će nastupati uglavnom igrači iz BHT Premijer lige Bosne i Hercegovine s obzirom na to da nisu zakazane u FIFA-inim terminima.
Pred Prosinečkim je zahtjevan zadatak imajući u vidu da su “Zmajevi” propustili plasman na posljednja dva velika takmičenja nakon što su 2014. nastupili na Svjetskom prvenstvu u Brazilu, a otežavajuće su okolnosti što su se od reprezentativne karijere oprostili Vedad Ibišević i Senad Lulić, od igračke karijere Mensur Mujdža te što reprezentaciju generalno čeka smjena generacija.
Novi selektor vodit će reprezentaciju Bosne i Hercegovine i u novom sistemu kvalifikacija za Euro, a to je Liga nacija, koja će, osim klasičnih kvalifikacija, biti jedan od načina da se izbori plasman na smotru najboljih reprezentacija Evrope.
