Rusiji se gotovo sigurno oduzima finale Lige prvaka, ubrzo konačna odluka
Evropska nogometna federacija (UEFA) će gotovo sigurno donijeti odluku o premještanju finala Lige prvaka iz Sankt Peterburga zbog krize koja vlada na rusko-ukrajinskoj granici, piše britanski BBC.Već danima se špekuliše o mogućnoj invaziji ruskih trupa na teritoriju Donjecka i Luhanska u Ukrajini pa je nekoliko država već uvelo sankcije Rusiji, uključujući i Veliku Britaniju.
UEFA je navela da će svaka odluka biti blagovremeno donijeta i da će javnost biti obaviještena o tome te da za sada ne razmišlja o pomjeranju sa stadiona Zenita.
Međutim, najeminentniji medij iz Velike Britanije tvrdi da je vrlo neizvjesno hoće li finalna utakmica biti odigrana u Sankt Peterburgu.
“Nema nikakve šanse da će se bilo koji nogometni turnir održati u Rusiji, koja planira invaziju na suverenu zemlju”, rekao je tokom današnjeg dana britanski premijer Boris Johnson.
Sekretar za kulturu Nadine Dorries je također izjavila da će razgovarati s UEFA-om o eventualnom izmještanju finala iz Rusije, dok je tamošnji ministar sporta Tracey Crouch poručio da se odluka momentalno donese.
Inače, UEFA-i bi ovo bilo treći put u nizu da mora tražiti novo mjesto za odigravanje finala budući da je prethodne dvije sezone domaćin bio Portugal zbog problema s pandemijom koronavirusa.
