SAD donirale višenamjenska motorna vozila Oružanim snagama BiH
Primopredaja 21 višenamjenskog motornog vozila koje je Vlada Sjedinjenih Američkih Država (SAD) donirala Oružanim snagama Bosne i Hercegovine (OSBiH), upriličena je danas u kasarni “Rajlovac” u Sarajevu.
Primopredaji je prisustvovao ministar odbrane Sifet Podžić, predstavnici Oružanih snaga, te delegacija Ambasade SAD u BiH, predvođena ambasadorom Ericom Nelsonom.
Podžić je kazao da je vrijednost doniranih vozila više od 2,6 miliona dolara. Prema njegovim riječima, uz ranije doniranih 58 Hamvija, Oružane snage BiH sada imaju 79 na raspolaganju i to povećava mobilnost OSBiH.
“Od 21 donirano vozilo, devet je ambulantnih dok je 12 vozila za transport trupa. Naš pouzdani strateški partner SAD, kroz ovu donaciju definitivno nam pomažu i u našem ključnom zadatku, a to je realizacija pregleda odbrane, odnosno realizacija programa reformi koji smo dostavili u Brisel, u NATO savez”, pojasnio je Podžić.
Kako je kazao, ovo je odlična prilika da se može preći u drugu fazu realizacije pregleda odbrane, a jedan od zadataka u drugoj fazi je svakako i modernizacija Oružanih snaga.
“Zadovoljstvo mi je biti danas ovdje, da mogu uručiti ovaj poklon, dar američkog naroda Oružanim snagama BiH. Ukupan broj vozila koje smo donirali Oružanim snagama BiH sada iznosi 79. Radi se o projektu u vrijednosti od više od 14 miliona dolara”, kazao je američki ambasador u BiH Nelson.
Prema njegovim riječima, radi se o višenamjenskim vozilima, a mogu se kretati po raznim terenima.
“Izgradnja kapaciteta Oružanih snaga da djeluju u miru je nešto u što SAD ulažu sredstva, da bi se ti kapaciteti poboljšali. Pozivamo da se nastavi provedba reformi kako bi BiH ispunila standarde neophodne za evroatlantski put. Kapitalne investicije koje SAD radi kada su u pitanju OSBiH, trebaju da postanu kapitalne investicije poreskih obveznika BiH i pozivam Vijeće ministara da ima na umu to i podrži ono što je neophodno da bis e to desilo”, pojasnio je Nelson.
Načelnik Zajedničkog štaba OS BiH generalpukovnik Senad Mašović podsjetio je da se današnja donacija sastoji od novih 21 vozilo.
“Sa ovim dodatnim vozilima, Oružane snage su bogatije za 79 novih i višenamjenskih motornih vozila Hamvi koja služe za različite potrebe. Bilateralna vojna saradnja između Oružanih snaga BiH i vojske SAD-a, ali i između država, raste u kontinuitetu. Do kraja godine očekujemo isporuku četiri nova višenamjenska helikoptera za potrebe Oružanih snaga BiH”, rekao je Mašović.
