SAD pogodio uragan Laura, četiri osobe su poginule, više od 700.000 ljudi bez struje

Na terenu je više od 1.500 spasilaca u više od 400 čamaca

Ekstremno jak uragan “Laura” pogodio je sinoć obalu SAD-a i udario države Teksas i Louisianu, javlja CNN.

Kada je udario o obalu, uragan “Laura” bio je uragan četvrte kategorije. U roku od 15 sati u srijedu narastao je s uragana prve do uragana četvrte kategorije. 

Poginule su najmanje četiri osobe, oštećene su brojne kuće, a više od 700.000 ljudi ostalo je bez struje. 

Sve četiri osobe poginule su kada je na njih palo stablo, a među njima i 14-godišnja djevojčica. 

– Zabrinut sam da ćemo pronaći još žrtava kada krenemo vani u potragu i spašavanje, rekao je guverner John Bel Edwards.

Nacionalni centar za uragane objavio je da će se udari nastaviti, te upozorio da snažni vjetrovi i poplave još uvijek prijete dijelovima Louisiane.

Edvards je rekao stanovnicima da ostanu u svojim domovima i nastave pratiti instrukcije lokalnih vlasti.

Kreće se prema državi Arkansas

Sada već tropska oluja, Laura se kreće prema Arkansasu s udarima vjetra 112 km/h. Kada je udarila Louisianu, udari vjetra bili su oko 240 km/h. 

To ga čini najsnažnijim uraganom koji je zahvatio Louisianu u 150 godina, prema podacima stručnjaka za uragane sveučilišta Colorado Philipa Klotzbacha.

Guverner susjedne države Teksas Greg Abbott rekao je na mreži CBS da vodeni val “nije bio toliki koliko se ranije predviđalo”, a da su naređene evakuacije stanovništva u obalnim područjima vjerojatno spasile mnogo života.
