SASTANAK DŽAFEROVIĆ -STOLTENBERG: NATO povećava broj osoblja u sjedištu NATO-a u Sarajevu
Predsjedavajući Predsjedništva Bosne i Hercegovine (BiH) Šefik Džaferović obratio se Stalnom Savjetu NATO-a, a uoči toga se sastao s generalnim sekreterom Alijanse Jesnom Stoltenbergom.
Šef NATO je naglasio podršku teritorijalnom integritetu i suverenitetu BiH, te je potvrdio da Alijansa povećava broj osoblja u sjedištu NATO-a u Sarajevu.
Prema Stoltenbergovim riječima, razmjena mišljenja između predstavnika Sjeveroatlantskog savjeta i Džaferovića je fokusirano na jačanju saradnje između Alijanse i BiH.
Sjevernoatlantski savjet je glavno tijelo za donošenje političkih odluka u okviru NATO-a.
“NATO će učiniti više da stoji uz naše partnere, kako bismo produbili saradnju sa BiH. To bi moglo obuhvatiti novi paket za izgradnju odbrambenih kapaciteta i jačanje naših saradnja u pogledu lakog i malog naoružanja, u borbi protiv upravljanju terorizma i cyber sigurnost”, izjavio je Stoltenberg nakon razgovora sa Džaferovićem.
Predsjedavajući Predsjedništva BiH je priznao da postoje političke snage u zemlji koje “osporavaju put ka NATO-u”, ali da je njegov nastup u sjedištu Alijanse potvrda da Bosna i Hercegovina neće promijeniti njen euroatlantski kurs, te da će “nastaviti putem NATO-a”.
