Već na startu drugog dijela nakon 102 sekunde igre Milan je ponovo vodio, a ovaj put strijelac je bio Saelemaekers. Na 2:2 izjednačio je Veretout iz sumnjivog penala u 71. minuti.
Novu prednost Milanu je osigurao Ibrahimović svojim drugim golom u 79. minuti, također iz diskutabilnog jedanaesterca.
Roma se nije predavala i do izjednačenja je stigla u 84. minuti preko Kumbulle. Nakon kornera loše je reagovao Ibrahimovića i loptu je prebacio do defanzivca Vučice koji je pogodio za konačnih 3:3.
