Spojen Pelješki most

Radovi na mostu dugom 2,4 kilometra nastavljaju se i nakon večerašnjeg spajanja

Podizanjem zadnjeg, 165. segmenta čelične rasponske konstrukcije Pelješki most večeras je potpuno spojen od Komarne do Brijeste čime je teritorija Hrvatske konačno povezana.

Kineski radnici simbolično su zavarili posljednji dio kojim se ujedno i spojila Hrvatska.

Ipak, radovi na mostu dugom 2,4 kilometra nastavljaju se i nakon večerašnjeg spajanja, a prva vozila od Komarne do Brijeste trebala bi proći na proljeće.

Spektakularnim vatrometom obilježeno je spajanje mosta.

Građani neće morati plaćati prelazak preko mosta. Spajanjem mosta posebno su zadovoljni lokalni stanovnici budući da će most skratiti put od Zagreba do Dubrovnika za čak dva sata.

Svečanom spajanju mosta prisustvovao je premijer Hrvatske Andrej Plenković te lider HDZ-a BiH Dragan Čović.

– Ovaj most ne spaja samo Hrvatsku, već i EU. On ne dijeli BiH i Hrvatsku već dapače. Ovo je most kojim ćemo se veseliti i koji će ostati trajna stečevina svima. Ovo je veliki svehrvatski projekt. za  BiH, s kojom smo u godinama iza nas imali i razmimoilaženja, postigli smo dva cilja. Hrvatska je spojila svoj teritorij, a BiH ima bezbrižan prolazak do svog mora. Ovo je veliki most ispod kojeg bi i Titanik mogao proći – istakao je Plenković na svečanosti organiziranoj na mostu. 

Inače, proces izgradnje je prošao uz brojne probleme. Žalbe firmi, ali i Bosne i Hercegovine usporile su ovaj proces. Ipak, na kraju je Hrvatska dobila “zeleno svjetlo” za gradnju.
