U 14. minuti glavni arbitar susreta Ovidiu Hategan je došao do klupe Bašakšehira i pokazao crveni karton Webu nakon čega je nastala prava zbrka.
Webo je ušao u sukob sa četvrtim sudijom Sebastianom Coltescuom a tom prilikom ga je, prema tvdnjama Kamerunca, Rumun rasistički vrijeđao.

“Ovo nije nogomet”, poručili su igrači turskog prvaka i u 21. minuti otišli u svlačionicu iako ih je glavni arbitar meča Hategan upozoravao da to ne čine.
Poslije toga igrači oba tima povukli su se u svlačionice.
Prvak Turske nije se želio vratiti na travnjak dok sudija ne bude suspendovan, što je i urađeno, ali dvoboj večeras nije nastavljen.
Utakmicu na Parku prinčeva u srijedu sudit će drugi arbitri.
UEFA je najavila temeljitu istragu incidenta.
