Tramp je prvi predsjednik SAD u historiji koji je dva puta opozvan

Predstavnički dom Kongresa SAD večeras je izglasao opoziv Donalda Trampa (Trump). To je prvi put u historiji da je jedan američki predsjednik dva puta opozvan.
Za opoziv Trampa glasala su 232 zastupnika dok je 197 bilo protiv. Za opoziv Trampa glasalo je čak deset republikanaca.
Iako je opoziv izglasan, Tramp ostaje predsjednik i nastavit će raditi u predsjedničkom uredu jer cijeli postupak treba potvrditi Senat, gornji dom Kongresa. Potrebne su dvije trećine glasova senatora da se predsjednik osudi i smijeni.
Pens se odbio pozvati na 25. amandman
Tramp se u odluci opoziva tereti za “poticanje na pobunu” zbog njegove uloge u prošlosedmičnim, smrtonosnim, protestima u Kapitolu.
Lider republikanaca Mič Mekonel (Mitch McConell) rekao je da sjednicu Senata neće sazvati prije 19. januara. Inauguracija novog američkog predsjednika Džoa Bajdena (Joe Biden) zakazana je 20. januara.
Podsjećamo da je Predstavnički dom Kongresa jučer izglasao rezoluciju kojom se poziva da se odlazeći američki predsjednik Donald Tramp ukloni sa dužnosti aktiviranjem 25. amandmana.
Međutim, situacije se iskomplicirala jer je potpredsjednik SAD Majk Pens (Mike Pence) odbio poziv na upotrebu 25. amandmana. U obrazloženju je rekao da to nije najbolje za državu, a cijeli proces opoziva nazvao je političkom igrom.
