Tuka pred najvećim izazovom karijere: Lovi prvu medalju za BiH
Pred najboljim bosanskohercegovačkim sportistom Amelom Tukom danas (14.05 sati) je najveći izazov karijere, finale trke na 800 metara u sklopu Olimpijskih igara u Tokiju.
Amel Tuka je trenutno najbolji Evropljanin na 800 metara, treći svjetski 800-metraš po tabeli Svjetske atletike, osvajač dvije medalje sa svjetskih prvenstava (bronza 2015. u Pekingu i srebro 2019. u Dohi), te sa svojim ličnim rekordom od 1:42.51 i dalje 13. najbrži svih vremena.
Ukupno 149 država je osvajalo medalju na Ljetnim olimpijskim igrama kroz historiju ovog takmičenja. Naša zemlja je od samostalnosti imala ukupno 45 olimpijaca i još uvijek čeka na prvu medalju.
