Turska u 2020. godini privukla više od 12,7 miliona turista uprkos pandemiji
Više od 12,7 miliona stranih turista posjetilo je Tursku tokom 2020. godine, uprkos pandemiji koronavirusa, saopštilo je Ministarstvo kulture i turizma.
Ipak, zbog ograničenja putovanja zbog virusa, taj broj je manji 71,7 odsto u odnosu na godinu prije.
Istanbul, najmnogoljudniji grad i najpopularnija turistička destinacija, ugostio je prošle godine 39 odsto stranih posjetilaca, odnosno njih pet miliona. Antalija je zauzela drugo mjesto sa 26 odsto ili skoro 3,3 miliona posjetilaca.
U Tursku se najviše dolazilo avionom, čemu svjedoči činjenica da je 9,6 miliona stranih turista doletjelo do zemlje, dok je oko tri miliona doputovalo auto-putevima.
U decembru, 699.330 stranih posjetilaca je ušlo u zemlju, što je manje za 67,4 odsto u odnosu na isti mjesec 2019. godine.
U 2019. godini, zemlja je imala 45 miliona stranih turista, što je bio porast u odnosu na 39,5 miliona zabeleženih tokom 2018. godine.
Zavod za statistiku Turske naveo je da su prihodi od turizma u Turskoj opali za 65,1 odsto na godišnjem nivou na 12,6 milijardi dolara prošle godine.
Broj odlazećih posjetilaca opao je tokom 2020. godine 69,5 odsto u odnosu na proteklu godinu i to na 16 miliona ljudi, uključujući i strane državljane i državljane Turske koji žive u drugim zemljama.
Prethodno je ministar kulture i turizma Mehmet Nuri Ersoy predvideo da će Turska završiti 2020. godinu sa više od 11 milijardi dolara od turizma i više od 15 miliona posjetilaca.
On je najavio i da zemlja ima za cilj stopostotni rast ove godine, što znači više od 30 miliona turista.
Prema posljednjim podacima Svjetske turističke organizacije (UNWTO), svjetski turizam je pretrpio najgoru godinu, jer su međunarodni dolasci opali za 74 odsto.
