U Tuzli donirano 30 senzora za djecu oboljelu od dijabetesa
Humanitarna organizacija Horizonti iz Tuzle danas je, povodom Svjetskog dana borbe protiv dijabetesa, donirala 30 senzora za mjerenje šećera u krvi, namijenjenih oboljeloj djeci.
– Ovim senzorima djeci je omogućeno bezbjedno mjerenje šećera u krvi, ali se pokušava i spriječiti sve neželjene komplikacije koje dijabetes nosi sa sobom. Veoma je važno što smo dobili ovakvu donaciju i što su nas ovi dobri ljudi prepoznali, jer potreba našeg udruženja je da nađemo sve načine da olakšamo djeci potrebe te život njihovih roditelja – kaže Indira Mujkić iz Udruženja Novi horizonti Tuzla.
Sve je više djece koja obolijevaju od dijabetesa i na godišnjoj razini trpe čak i više od pet hiljada uboda mjerenja šećera. Među njima je i Zerina Mulić kojoj je dijabetes dijagnosticiran u šetom razredu Osnovne škole. – Meni se to dogodilo u školi kada mi je pozlilo. Hospitalizirali su me i odmah mi dijagnosticirali šećernu bolest. Tada sam bila zbunjena, jer nisam uopće znala šta to znači. Dobila sam inzulin i sva zbunjena sjedila na krevetu, a moju mamu su odveli od mene da s njom razgovaraju. Međutim, ja sam naučila živjeti s ovim i to je već moja rutina i normalan život. Sad mi je već čudno da ujutro ne ustanem i ne izmjerim šećer – kaže Mulić. Njena poruka je da djeca koja obolijevaju ne trebaju osjećati strah.
– U početku jeste čudno. Život vam se odjednom promijeni. Ali to vam postane dio života. Od toga ne možemo pobjeći. Možemo se samo pomiriti s tim i nastojati živjeti život što kvalitetnije – istaknula je ova srednjoškolka. I brojni roditelji, nakon što njihovoj djeci bude dijagnosticiran dijabetes, budu potpuno izgubljeni i očajni. Alma Pejić iz Banovića se prije deset godina susrela s dijabetesom kada je ustanovljen njenoj kćerki Mirni. Mirna je tada imala tek osam godina.
– Za cijelu porodicu je to bio veliki šok. Mirna je to nekako normalno prihvatila, ali nama je bilo veoma teško. Nikada u životu nisam imala priliku upoznati nekog dijabetičara niti sam znala šta je to inzulin. Mislili smo da je to trenutna bolest, ali kada su nam doktori rekli da je to za cijeli život, to je za nas bio veliki šok. Prošlo je već deset godina. Nije nam idealno, ali se borimo svaki dan. Nijedan dan nije isti – kaže Pejić. Ona je ukazala da su roditelji mjesećno samo na trakice za dijabetes primorani dati oko 150 KM. – Djeca kada napune 18 godina nemaju prava na trakice. Snalazimo se i borimo i veoma je teško. Oko 150 maraka trošimo samo na trakice, a gdje su druge stvari koje su neophodne – istakla je Pejić. Udruženje Novi horizonti u svakodnevnoj je borbi za prava oboljele djece, kako institucionalno tako i kroz društveni aktivizam.
