UEFA je saopćila da je pokrenut disciplinski postupak protiv Real Madrida, Barcelone i Juventusa.
Krovna kuća evropskog fudbala postupak protiv dva španska i italijanskog kluba pokrenula je zbog projekta Superliga, odnosno kršenja UEFA-inog pravnog okvira.

Real Madrid, Barcelona i Juventus zajedno sa još devet klubova sudjelovali su u projektu Superlige, koji je ekspresno propao.
Iz Superlige su se pod pritiscima prvo povukli engleski klubovi – Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool, Tottenham, Chelsea i Arsenal, zatim italijanski Inter i Milan, a onda i Atletico Madrid.
Real Madrid, Barcelona i Juventus ostali su vjerni novom takmičenju, zbog čega bi se mogli suočiti sa sankcijama UEFA-e.
