Vijeće sigurnosti UN-a odbacilo rezoluciju Rusije i Kine, ostaje mandat OHR-a u BiH

Vijeće sigurnosti UN-a odbacilo je večeras rezoluciju koju su predložile Rusija i Kina a kojom bi se ukinuo Ured visokog predstavnika u BiH (OHR).Za rezoluciju su glasale samo Rusija i Kina. Ostalih 13 članica Vijeća sigurnosti bile su suzdržane.
Kako je ranije najavljeno, rezolucijom koju su predložile Rusija i Kina nakon 31. jula 2022. ukida se OHR u BiH.
Podsjećamo, rezolucija je podržavala imenovanje visokog predstavnika Christiana Schmidta do 31. jula 2022. godine kada je prema njoj predviđeno zatvaranje Ureda visokog predstavnika.
U obrazloženju ovog prijedloga stoji da ovlasti date visokom predstavniku na konferenciji o provedbi Dejtonskog mirovnog sporazuma 1997. godine više nisu potrebne s obzirom na napredak koji su postigle političke stranke u BiH.
Američki predstavnik u Vijeću sigurnosti Ujedinjenih naroda Richard M. Mills rekao je da večeras da njegova zemlja daje punu podršku novom visokom predstavniku u BiH Christianu Schmidtu.
Ruski predstavnik Dmitry Polyanskiy zaprijetio je večeras “zapadnim kolegama” da ne podržavaju novog visokog predstavnika u BiH Christiana Schmidta, za kojeg je rekao da je nelegitiman.
“Žalimo što večeras Vijeće sigurnosti nije usvojilo rezoluciju kao i to što kandidat Christian Schmidt nije odobren u Vijeću sigurnosti UN-a. Upozoravamo da bilo koji potez kolega da se proba zaobići Vijeće sigurnosti o ovom pitanju nije samo nelegalan već i opasan”, rekao je Polyanskiy.
