Vuković u Evropskom parlamentu: BiH ima najviše miniranih područja koja su rezultat ratnih razaranja

Projekt bi bio ostvaren u okviru međugranične saradnje između Hrvatske i Bosne i Hercegovine.
U Evropskom parlamentu u Briselu je 23. januara 2019. godine održana jednodnevna konferencija na temu razminiranja.
Iz Bosne i Hercegovine jedina učesnica konferencije bila je zastupnica u Skupštini TK Lejla Vuković.
– Učešće na ovoj konferenciji me dodatno podstiče i obavezuje da se više aktiviram i više posvetim ovoj problematici jer se govorilo o (de)miniranim područjima na prostoru Bosne i Hercegovine i Hrvatske.
Ona je posebno istakla da BiH u Evropi ima najviše miniranih područja koja su rezultat ratnih razaranja.
Osim upoznavanja sa situacijom na raznim područjima koja su tokom ratnih dejstava “zasijana” minama, dogovoren je zajednički projekt koji bi bio finansiran iz sredstava IPA fondova, a osigurano bi bilo brže i sigurnije deminiranje. Projekt bi bio ostvaren u okviru međugranične saradnje između Hrvatske i Bosne i Hercegovine.
U ovaj projekt će biti uključeni demobilisani borci Armije BiH i ratni vojni invalidi koji su nemjerljiv doprinos dali u očuvanju naše domovine!
Inače, domaćin konferencije je bio Ivica Tolić, hrvatski zastupnik u Evropskom parlamentu.
Procjenjuje se da je na području Bosne i Hercegovine od 1996. pa do danas nastradalo oko 1.700 osoba od eksplozivno-ubojitih sredstava, a sredstva koja je Evropska unija uložila u svrhu deminiranja od 2012. do 2016. godine iznose oko 10 miliona eura, što je, u poređenju sa uloženim u druge zemlje, mali iznos.
