Bajden: Vakcinisanje neće biti obavezno u SAD
Odobrenje vakcinisanja za 10-ak dana
Novoizabrani predsjednik Džo Bajden (Joe Biden) rekao je da Amerikancima neće biti obavezno primanje vakcine protiv koronavirusa kada ona postane dostupna u SAD-u.
Ova Bajdenova izjava je došla nakon što je Centar za kontrolu bolesti (CDC) preporučio nošenje maski unutar objekata, osim u vlastitom domu. Kako se navodi, razlog savjeta jeste činjenica da je zemlja ušla u fazu “visoke transmisije” koronavirusa – piše BBC.
Bajden – koji bi trebao stupiti na dužnost 20. januara – smatra da će njegova inauguracija biti reduciran događaj bez velike pompe zbog zabrinutosti oko koronavirusa.
– Pretpostavljam da će i dalje biti ceremonija platforme, ali ne znam kako će se sve to odvijati – rekao je.
Pfizerova i BioNtechova vakcina je na čekanju odobrenja, kao i vakcina kompanije Moderna. Smatra se kako bi odobrenje prve vakcine za upotrebu trebalo da se desi za 10-ak dana.
Bajden je kazao kako neće podržati potencijalni pokušaj vlade da vakcinisanje učini obaveznim jer bi tako uzrokovao žestoko protivljenje, ali je dodao kako će uraditi sve što je u njegovoj moći da promoviše vakcinisanje.
– Učinit ću sve kao predsjednik da ohrabrim ljude da učine pravu stvar. Pokazat ću koliko je to važno – kazao je novoizabrani predsjednik.
