Učenici osnovnih škola u Tuzlanskom kantonu od naredne školske godine imat će besplatne udžbenike. Odluka je ovo Vlade Tuzlanskog kantona, koja je putem rebalansiranog budžeta osigurala sredstva za kupovinu za učenike od 1. do 9. razreda.
Jedan od najavljenih prioriteta Vlade Tuzlanskog kantona bio je upravo nabavka besplatnih udžbenika za sve učenike osnovnih škola u Tuzlanskom kantonu, što je u svom ekspozeu najavio i kantonalni premijer Irfan Halilagić.
Također, najavljeno je da će od naredne školske godine biti obezbijeđen i novac za stipendije izuzetno nadarenih učenika i učenika s invaliditetom, kao i za stipendiranje učenika koji se odluče školovati za deficitarna zanimanja.
Ranije su dodijeljene stipendije đacima romske populacije i drugih nacionalnih manjina.
