(Patria) – Drugi dan Ramazanskog bajrama u Bosni i Hercegovini obilježava se kao ‘Dan šehida’. Posjećuju se mezarja na kojima se odaje počast i polaže cvijeće i onima koji su izgubili živote tokom odbrane Bosne i Hercegovine u oružanoj agresiji na zemlji od 1992. do 1995. godine. Obilježavanje Dana šehida odvija se uz vjerski program.
Prema islamskom vjerovanju, šehidi su muslimanski vjernici koji poginu braneći svoj imetak, vjeru, život, zemlju i porodicu.
Dan šehida u BiH ustanovljen je odlukom Rijaseta Islamske zajednice u BiH 23. januara 1995. godine.
Na Šehidskom mezarju Kovači bit će održano obilježavanje Dana šehida polaganjem cvijeća i vjerskim programom. Bit će položeno cvijeće na mezar prvog predsjednika Predsjedništva RBiH Alije Izetbegovića
U Begovoj džamiji svim šehidima bit će poklonjena hatma dova.
Centralna manifestacija obilježavanja Dana šehida za područje Muftijstva tuzlanskog bit će održana u Čeliću.
