Danska odbranila titulu prvaka svijeta u rukometu
Rukometna reprezentacija Danske je odbranila titulu prvaka svijeta pobjedom u finalu nad Švedskom rezultatom 26:24.U prvom poluvremenu današnjeg finala u Kairu obje ekipe su se smjenjivale u vodstvu. Najprije je Danska imala u jednom trenutku plus dva (8:6), a potom i Švedska (12:10, 13:11). No, na poluvrijeme se otišlo pri rezultatu 13:13.
U drugom poluvremenu igralo se gol za gol sve do 47. minute kada Danci odlaze na plus dva (22:20), a potom dvije minute kasnije i na plus tri (23:20) što je bio i ključni trenutak utakmice.
Nekoliko puta Švedska se vraćala do minus dva, no raspoloženi golman Danske Landin nije dozvolio da utakmica ponovo uđe u egal i Danska je na kraju odbranila titulu prvaka svijeta.
Dansku su trijumfa nosili Hansen sa 6 i Nielsen sa 5 golova, dok je Wanne na drugoj strani bio najbolji strijelac sa 5 postignutih golova.
Danci su do titule stigli na impresivan način, sa svim pobjedama na turniru. U prvoj grupnoj fazi pali su Bahrein (34:20), DR Kongo (39:19) i Argentina (31:20), u drugoj Katar (32:23), Japan (34:27) i Hrvatska (38:26), a u polufinalu Egipat nakon penala (39:38).
Danska je na ovaj način odbranila titulu nakon što je 2019. godine prvi put postala prvak svijeta.
Treće mjesto i bronzanu medalju osvojila je Španija koja je danas pobijedila Francusku rezultatom 35:29.
