Ono o čemu se piše već nekoliko dana, dobija na intenzitetu nakon što je Sky Italia došla do informacije da su se Chelsea i Roma navodno dogovorili oko obeštećenja za Edina Džeku. Naime, Plavci su pristali isplatiti 50 miliona eura i 10 miliona bonusa za bh. reprezentativca, ali i Emersona Palmierija koji će ‘u paketu’ sa Džekom na Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea je spreman poslati i Michyja Batshuayia na posudbu u redove Vučice, kako bi ubrzao realizaciju ovog transfera. Također, isti izvor navodi i da je Džeko odlučio da napusti Rim i zaputi se ka Londonu, što bi bio njegov povratak u Premier ligu koju je osvojio sa Manchester Cityjem u dva navrata.
Ove sezone Džeko je postigao 12 golova za Romu, a u maju prošle godine pohvalio se epitetima najboljeg strijelca Serije A i Evropa lige.
