Džumhur zbog bolova u leđima predao meč
Džumhur: Nadam se da ću opet imati priliku da igram sa Đokovićem
Damir je pri rezultatu 2:1 za Đokovića u drugom setu predao meč i to nakon što je prethodno uložio velike napore da se osposobi za nastavak, što se ipak nije desilo.
Nakon meča, Džumhur je poručio da mu je žao što je na ovakav način okončan njegov prvi meč protiv Đokovića u karijeri.
“Žao mi je što nisam mogao odigrati cijeli meč protiv Đokovića, ali nadam se da ću imati novih prilika u karijeri. Zahvalio bih svima koji su me podržavali kroz sezonu u kojoj sam imao dosta uspona i padova, ali to je sastavni dio tenisa”, rekao je Džumhur.
Naš teniser je iskoristio priliku da čestita Novaku Đokoviću povratak na prvo mjesto ATP liste.
“Đoković će od naredne sedmice ponovo biti svejtski broj jedan, vratit će se tamo gdje mu je mjesto i čestitam mu na tome, pogotovo na velikom povratku jer mislim da je to njegova najveća pobjeda u karijeri. Danas je pokazao zašto je najbolji, a ja, nažalost, nisam mogao izdržati do kraja meča. Bolovi su krenuli u trećem gemu u predjelu donjeg dijela leđa s kojim sam već imao problema ove godine”, zaključio je je Džumhur.
Damir Džumhur će se u narednom periodu posvetiti liječenju povrede kako bi što spremniji ušao u narednu godinu, u kojoj će pokušati da se vrati među 30 najboljih tenisera svijeta. Trenutno zauzima 47. mjesto.

Today, I went to the beachfront with my children.
