Potez Donalda Trumpa da prizna Jerusalem kao prijestonicu Izraela ubrzat će uništenje te države, izjavio je iranski ministar odbrane, dok je vodeći komandant Revolucionarne garde telefonski kontaktirao sa dvije palestinske oružane grupe i rekao da je uz njih.
Čelnici Irana, čije su protivljenje Izraelu i podrška palestinskoj borbi u centralnom dijelu vanjske politike od Islamske revolucije 1979. godine, odbacili su prošlosedmičnu objavu predsjednika Sjedinjenih Američkih Država da preseli Ambasadu SAD-a u Jerusalem, prenosi Reuters.
Palestinci žele da Istočni Jerusalem bude glavni grad njihove buduće države.
“Trumpov potez ubrzat će uništenje cionističkog režima i udvostručiti jedinstvo muslimana”, rekao je iranski ministar odbrane, brigadni general Amir Hatami, prenose državni mediji.
Podrška palestinskim pokretima otpora
Prvi čovjek iranske vojske, general Mohammed Baqeri, izjavio je da se “budalasti potez Trumpa” može vidjeti kao početak nove intifade, odnosno palestinskog ustanka.
Iran već dugo podržava brojne oružane antiizraelske grupe, među kojima je i vojno krilo libanskog pokreta Hezbollah, za koje je zamjenik komandanta iranske elitne Revolucionarne garde, brigadni general Hossein Salami, kazao da su “jači od cionističkog režima”.
Qassem Soleimani, vođa ogranka Garde koji nadgleda operacije van iranskih granica, rekao je da Iran “u potpunosti podržava palestinske islamske pokrete otpora” nakon što je telefonom razgovarao s komandantima Islamskog džihada i Brigada Izz al-Deen Qassam, oružanog ogranka pokreta Hamas.
