KAKVO LI JE SAMO NOGOMETNO LJETO PRED NAMA! DATUMI SU NA STOLU: Svaki dan u augustu imat ćemo utakmicu, a svakog trećeg dana na redu je – poslastica!
Krovna europska nogometna federacija (UEFA) naredne sedmice imat će dva sastanka. Prvi, onaj koji će se dogoditi u utorak je nalik onome kakvog je već imala početkom travnja. Sastat će se, video-linkom naravno, čelnici UEFA-e s predstavnicima svih 55 zemalja članica. Veliki dio njih trebali bi biti glavni tajnici njihovih nogometnih saveza. Na njemu će se raspravljati o modelima nastavka sezone, ekonomskoj strani priče i kalendaru.
Dva dana kasnije, za četvrtak je predviđena sjednica Izvršnog odbora UEFA-e. Na njoj bi se neke odluke od utorka, ali i odluke dviju radnih skupina mogle izglasati i donijeti. Jedna od njih je vezana uz završnicu europskih kup-natjecanja. Jasno, poklonike nogometa najviše zanima što će biti s Ligom prvaka te kada ćemo i na koji način saznati ime novog prvaka Europe.
Po sadašnjem planu, koji je, ruku na srce, teško ostvariv. Sva bi nacionalna prvenstva trebala biti završena do 31. jula. U augustu bi se, u ubrzanom formatu onda trebala samo igrati Europa.
Preostale utakmice osmine finala trebale bi se odigrati 7. i 8. augusta, a prvi susreti četvrtfinala već 11. i 12. tog mjeseca, dok su uzvrati planirani za 14. i 15. augusta.
U ultra-brzom ritmu bi se i nastavilo pa bi tako jedan polufinalni par bio odigran 18. i 21. augusta, a drugi bi igrao 19. i 22. Finale bi se igralo u Istanbulu 29. augusta.
Ne stignu li se nacionalna prvenstva i zapravo završiti do zadnjeg dana jula, moguće je da se “preliju” i na august, pa bismo tako mogli gledati barem jednu utakmicu iz neke od “liga petice” svakog dana, dok bi nam zajamčeno bilo uživanje u spektaklima Lige prvaka svaki treći dan. Naravno, treba uzeti u obzir da bi se sve utakmice igrale bez gledatelja na tribinama.
