NATO pomoći Ukrajini, ali i pojačati podršku BiH
NATO će raspodijeliti borbene skupine u Bugarskoj, Mađarskoj, Rumunjskoj i Slovačkoj.
Ukrajinski predsjednik Volodimir Zelenski sutra će videovezom sudjelovati na sastanku čelnika zemalja članica NATO-a, potvrdio je danas šef Saveza Jens Stoltenberg.
Glavni tajnik NATO-a je najavio da će članice sutra dogovoriti jačanje svoje prisutnosti na istočnom krilu Sjevernoatlantskog saveza. Raspodijelit će četiri nove borbene skupine u Bugarskoj, Mađarskoj, Rumunjskoj i Slovačkoj.
Kazao je kako su trenutno stotine tisuća savezničkih snaga u visokom stupnju pripravnosti diljem Saveza uz snažnu prisutnost pomorskih i zračnih snaga. “Očekujem da će se čelnici složiti oko jačanja položaja NATO-a u svim regijama, s velikim povećanjem na istočnom krilu saveza – na kopnu, u zraku i na moru”, rekao je Stoltenberg.
S novim i postojećim borbenim skupinama, onima u Poljskoj i Baltičkim državama, Savez će ukupno imati osam međunarodnih borbenih skupina na istočnim granicama, ustvrdio je Stoltenberg. “Suočeni smo s novom stvarnošću za našu sigurnost i zato moramo resetirati naše mogućnosti za odvraćanje i obranu na duži period”, konstatirao je šef NATO-a i dodao da će sutra članice potvrditi podršku Ukrajini.
Ukrajini će slati opremu za zaštitu od nuklearnih prijetnji
“Ukrajina ima pravo na samoobranu prema povelji UN-a”, rekao je Stoltenberg. Vjeruje da će na sutrašnjem samitu čelnici pristati na slanje dodatne pomoći Ukrajini. “To će uključivati pomoć za cybersigurnost, kao i opremu za zaštitu od kemijskih, bioloških, radioloških i nuklearnih prijetnji”, najavio je.
Ponovno je naglasio kako NATO mora osigurati da se rat u Ukrajini ne proširi iznad njezinih granica i postane sukob između NATO-a i Rusije. Rekao je kako očekuje da će sutra dogovoriti i slanje dodatne pomoći “drugim zemljama za koje postoji rizik od ruskog pritiska”, poput Gruzije te Bosne i Hercegovine.
Dodao je i kako će sutra raspravljati o ulozi Kine u ovoj krizi.
“Peking se pridružio Moskvi u propitkivanju prava nezavisnih država da same odabiru svoj put. Kina je Rusiji pružila političku pomoć uključujući i širenjem očitih laži i dezinformacija. Saveznici su zabrinuti da bi Kina mogla dati i materijalnu podršku Rusiji za njezinu invaziju”, rekao je.
