Obilježena godišnjica stradanja srednjoškolaca ispred OŠ „Ivan Goran Kovačić“
Povodom obilježavanja Dana ubijene djece Gradačca juče je odata počast nastradalim srednjoškolcima ispred OŠ „ Ivan Goran Kovačić „. Tog kobnog 23.decembar 1994. agresor je teškom artiljerijom započeo gađanje užeg centra Gradačca kada su od granate ugašena 4 mlada života ispred „OŠ Ivan Goran Kovačić“ Gradačac ( Senada i Senad Okanović, Miralem Kadić i Benjamin Bajramović ).
Naša je dužnost da se prisjećamo i da ne zaboravimo ubijenu djecu od ‘92.-‘95. i da se mlađe generacije upoznaju sa ovim događajem na području općine Gradačac istakao je Sedat Zukić, predsjednik Saveza boračkih organizacija Gradačac.
Prisutnima se obratio Mirsad Bajramović, ratni direktor „MSŠ Hasan Kikić “ Gradačac, koji je kazao „da smo ovdje kako bi se sjetili tragično nastradalih učenika i da podjelimo osjećanja s članovima njihovih porodica“. „ Tog kobnog dana neljudi su ubili djecu koja su trebala postati ljudi…“
Općinski načelnik mr. sci. Edis Dervišagić je izrazio saučešće roditeljima stradalim učenika i naravno da svim sadašnjim i budućim generacijama učenika i građana općine Gradačac se ukaže na važnost obilježavanja ovakvih manifestacija kako se ovako zlo upravo zbog svih budućih naraštaja nikada ne bi ponovilo.
Zajednička poruka svih prisutnih je da se ovaj događaj nikada ne zaboravi i da ostane podsjetnik novim generacijama.
Kako bi se očuvala uspomena na ovaj tragični događaj, učenici osnovnih i srednjih škola, porodice poginulih, te zvanične delegacije su odale počast i položile cvijeće na spomen obilježje u centru grada.
