Obustavljena dostava vakcina: Pfizer nazvao Izrael “banana republikom”
“Pfizer” je zaustavio isporuke vakcina protiv koronavirusa Izraelu jer ova zemlja nije platila posljendjih 2,5 miliona doza koje im je kompanija isporučila, saznaje “The Jerusalem Post”.
Visoki zvaničnici “Pfizera” rekli su da su zabrinuti da vlada u tranziciji (izbori u Izraelu održani su prošle sedmice, op.a.) neće isplatiti dug i da kompanija ne želi biti iskorištena. Rekli su da ne razumiju kako se takva situacija može dogoditi u organiziranoj zemlji.
“Vojni radio” izvijestio je da je “Pfizer” nazvao Izrael “banana republikom”.
Očekivalo se da će pošiljka od 700.000 doza stići u Izrael prošle nedjelje, ali je odgođena do daljnjeg.
Iz “Pfizera” su za The Jerusalem Post rekli da je kompanija dovršila sve isporuke Izraelu u skladu s početnim sporazumom o isporuci svoje vakcine protiv COVID-19, potpisanim u novembru 2020. godine.
“Kompanija trenutno sarađuje s izraelskom vladom na ažuriranju sporazuma i isporuci dodatnih vakcina u ovu zemlju”, navodi se u saopćenju kompanije.
Izrael je platio prvih 10 miliona vakcina koje je primio za svoju kampanju masovnog cijepljenja. Ali kad im je u februaru počelo nedostajati vakcina, između premijera Benjamina Netanyahua i izvršnog direktora “Pfizera” Alberta Bourlea postignut je dogovor da se Izraelu osiguraju dodatne doze.
