Dvije će zemlje od 15. marta organizirati zajedničke patrole duž autoceste M4
Sporazum o prekidu vatre na sjeverozapadu Sirije, koji su najavile Rusija i Turska, stupio je danas na snagu. Cilj je prekinuti borbe koje su izazvale humanitarnu katastrofu i spriječiti sukob između vojnih snaga te dvije zemlje.
Nekoliko minuta nakon ponoći, kada je prekid vatre stupio na snagu u pokrajini Idlib, bombardiranje je i dalje trajalo, saopćeno je iz Sirijskog opservatorija za ljudska prava. Tursko ministarstvo odbrane saopćilo je da su snage sirijskog režima ubila dvojicu turskih vojnika.
Opservatorij je zabilježio razmjeran mir na tom području te prekid ruskih i sirijskih zračnih napada. To je primirje, međutim, “narušila pucnjava topništva sirijskog režima” u pokrajinama Alep i Hama, koje graniče s Idlibom i koje nadziru džihadisti i pobunjenici.
Pregovori šest sati
Nakon više od šest sati pregovora u Kremlju, turski predsjednik Redžep Taip Erdoan (Recep Tayyip Erdogan) na zajedničkoj konferenciji za novinare s ruskim predsjednikom Vladimirom Putinom najavio je prekid vatre, dodavši da će on i njegov ruski kolega nastojati da ono bude “trajno”.
Prema tekstu sporazuma, dvije će zemlje od 15. marta organizirati zajedničke patrole duž autoceste M4, ključne ceste koja prolazi kroz Idlib, a predviđena je i uspostava sigurnosnog koridora dugog šest kilometara.
Taj bi sporazum trebao prekinuti intenzivne borbe oko Idliba, posljednjeg uporišta pobunjenika i džihadista na sjeverozapadu Sirije. Jačanje borbi u Idlibu izazvalo je diplomatske napetosti između Rusije, saveznika sirijskog režima i Turske, koja podupire pobunjenike.
Poginulo 15 civila
Glavni sekretar UN-a Antonio Guteres (Guterres) rekao je jučer kako se nada da će sporazum o prekidu vatre, sklopljen između Turske i Rusije, dovesti do trajnog prekida sukoba i prekinuti patnje kojima je izloženo stanovništvo.
U četvrtak je u ruskim zračnim napadima u Idlibu poginulo najmanje 15 civila, prema Sirijskom opservatoriju za ljudska prava. Rusija je opovrgnula gađanje civila.Turska, koja je već prihvatila 3,6 miliona Sirijaca, zatražila je u srijedu evropsku pomoć u “donošenju političkih i humanitarnih rješenja u Siriji”, koje Turska smatra nužnima za uspostavu primirja i rješavanje migracijske krize.
