Među brojnim europarlamentarcima koji su se obratili hrvatskom premijeru Andreju Plenkoviću nakon njegova predstavljanja prioriteta hrvatskog predsjedanja Vijećem Europske unije bila je i Šveđanka Malin Björk.
‘Vaše predsjedništvo kaže da se želite usredotočiti na vladavinu prava i bolje upravljanje migracijama. Osobno sam, nakon što pročitala izvješća, obišla područja koja ste spomenuli na sjeveru Bosne i na tom dijelu Hrvatske. Bilo je 10.000 nezakonitih povrataka 2018. godine i čak 25.000 lani’, poručila je Björ
”Nakon što sam pročitala izvješća o brutalnosti hrvatske granične policije, moram priznati da su priče ponekad bile još i gore: bilo je ranjavanja i od pasa, a brutalnost kojoj sam bila svjedok doista je bila strašna. Civilno društvo pokušava pokazati solidarsnot prema izbjeglicama, međutim oni se nalaze na meti’, upozorila je europarlamentarka iz Švedske.
Dodala je da se ‘niti jedna država članica ne bi trebala ponašati tako na svojim granicama, bez obzira gdje se to nalazi’.
”Doista, tome treba stati na kraj. Treba postojati jedan neovisni mehanizam za praćenje stanja i moramo jasno reći da Hrvatska ne može ući u Šengenski prostor ako se ne zaustavi takva situacija’, zaključila je Björk, članica Klub zastupnika Ujedinjene europske ljevice i Nordijske zelene ljevice, prenosi Tportal.
