Otvoren „Centar za podršku dojenju“ u JZU Dom zdravlja Gradačac
Grad Gradačac je jedan od 5 gradova /općina iz FBiH zajedno sa 5 općina iz RS koji je učesnik projekta „Smanjenje rizika od katastrofa za održivi razvoj u BiH“ kojeg podržavaju Vlada Švicarske i Ujedinjene nacije u Bosni i Hercegovini.
Ovim projektom predviđena je „Uspostava i unapređenje organizacije i koordinacije u jedinicama lokalne samouprave kroz integrisani model upravljanja rizicima od katastrofa sa fokusom na sektore zaštite i spašavanja, obrazovanja, socijalne i dječije zaštite, zdravstva i poljoprivrede kako bi svi akteri adekvatno razumjeli svoju ulogu u smanjenju rizika od katastrofa“.
Shodno navedenom u oblasti zdravstva je predviđena „Podrška zdravstvenim sistemima u podizanju svijesti i promociji prakse isključivog dojenja prije, tokom i nakon vanrednih situacija na ciljanim lokacijama kroz obuke i informiranje i edukacije“.
S tim u vezi danas je svečano otvoren „Centar za podršku dojenju“ u JU Dom zdravlja Gradačac. Ovaj Centar je mjesto podrške majkama nakon poroda i budućim mama koje žele informacije i edukacije za dojenje, ali i ženama koje se žele pripremati za jednu od najvažnijih uloga u životu-majčinstvo. Dojenje je od izuzetne važnosti za zdravlje djeteta, te ima brojne benefite za psihofizičko zdravlje majke.
Ova aktivnost će promovisati poboljšane prakse zaštite, kao što su isključivo dojenje i siguran prostor za savjetovanje trudnica i dojilja. Jačanje sistema i kapaciteta za podršku dojenju ključan je oblik pripravnosti za vanredne situacije.
Ovu aktivnost provodi UNICEF u koordinaciji sa drugim agencijama UN-a kroz pružanje podrške edukaciji i opremanju prostora.
