Američki plan predstavlja “kršenje sporazuma o autonomiji”
Mahmud Abas (Mahmoud Abbas), palestinski vođa, najavio je prekid svih veza s Izraelom i Sjedinjenim Američkim Državama, uključujući saradnju u oblasti sigurnosti, nekoliko dana nakon što je Vašington objavio mirovni plan za Bliski istok.

Abas objašnjava kako je odluka uslijedila nakon što su se i Izrael i SAD povukli iz potpisanih sporazuma i međunarodnog legitimiteta.
– Izrael će morati snositi odgovornost kao okupaciona sila za palestinske teritorije. Palestinci će nastaviti s legitimnom borbom za svoja prava koristeći miroljubiva sredstva- kazao je Abas.
Prema američkom mirovnom planu, Izrael će zadržati kontrolu nad Jerusalemom kao “nepodijeljenim glavnim gradom” i pripojit će naselja na palestinskoj zemlji. Američki predsjednik Donald Tramp (Trump) je rekao da će Palestinci moći da proglase glavni grad unutar anektiranog istočnog Jerusalema.
Palestinske vođe odbacile su sporazum, rekavši da zaslužuje da bude “bačen na đubrište historije”.
