Početak manifestacije “Rađanje slobode”
U povodu obilježavanja Dana Grada Gradačca danas je održana manifestacija „ Rađanje slobode“ u znak sjećanja na herojsku odbranu Gradačca i Bosne i Hercegovine u odbrambeno-oslobodilačkom ratu ‘92-‘95. ( Bitka za oklopni voz 22.10.1992. i „ Istok 94 “ 17.10.1994. ).
Danas su brojne delegacije odale počast i položile cvijeća na centralnom spomen-obilježju šehidima, poginulim borcima i civilnim žrtvama odbrambeno-oslobodilačkog rata. Dužnu poštu poginulim borcima odala je i delegacija 2. pješadijskog/rendžerskog puka Oružanih snaga BiH koji baštini tradiciju Armije Republike BiH. Imami Medžlisa Islamske zajednice Gradačac su proučili i poklonili Jasin pred duše pehida Bosne i Hercegovine.
Predsjednik Saveza boračkih organizacija Gradačca, Munever Beširović istakao važnost bitke za oklopni voz i dodao da je to jedna od prekretnica na gradačačkom ratištu. Kada je riječ o oslobodilačkim akcijama treba istaknuti 17.10.1994. godinu gdje je izvedena akcija „ ISTOK 94 „ kada su branioci Gradačca oslobodili teritoriju oko 25km/2. (Sibovac, Unkići, Liporašće i Unkići).
Gradonačelnik mr. sci Edis Dervišagić je napomenuo da je period od 1992. do 1995. godine jedan od najtežih perioda za Gradačac u njegovoj historiji. Istakao je da je naša dužnost da nastavimo da jačamo naš grad Gradačac i da mlade generacije upoznajemo i da im prenosimo ono što se dogodilo na ovim prostorima u proteklom periodu.
Aktivnosti u sklopu manifestacije „ Rađanje slobode „ će se nastaviti večeras na gradskom trgu gdje će biti organizovan prigodan kulturno zabavni program.
