Prizemljili najveći putnički avion na svijetu pri jakim udarima vjetra
Desetine letova su otkazane, ali dvojica pilota su uspjela aterirati u jednom pokušaju usmjeravajući avion težak 573,794 kg preko piste kako bi izveli slijetanje ‘poput raka’, teški manevar u kojem piloti usmjeravaju avion prema vjetru.
Vješti manevar dvojice pilota je zabilježen na video snimci koja dolazi iz Londona. Na njoj se najveći svjetski putnički avion bori s jakim vjetrom na londonskom aerodromu Heathrow, a u konačnici ga piloti uspješno spuštaju na pistu, piše Sky.com.
Etihadov Airbus A380, kojim su upravljala dvojica pilota, u jednom trenutku čini se kao da lebdi iznad asfalta dok se pokušava prizemljiti tokom jakih vjetrova od 85 km/h koji su zabilježeni na glavnom londonskom aerodromu.
Avion je u London doletio iz Abu Dhabija, piše Sky.com. Inače, Airbusov A380 je najveći putnički avion na svijetu, dugačak skoro 73 metra, s rasponom krila od 80 metara. U maksimalnoj konfiguraciji može prevesti čak 853 putnika, a leti brzinom od oko 900 km/h.
Nakon što je kompanija Emirates srezala svoju narudžbu, ovaj će se avion uskoro prestati proizvoditi jer se pokazao nedovoljno isplativim za tržište i proizvođača.
