Prosvjednici koji su se u subotu okupili na ulicama grada Kassela, izražavajući na taj način nezadovoljstvo zbog restriktivnih mjera njemačke vlade, sukobili su se s policijom koja je protiv sudionika demonstracija koristila suzavac i palice.
Policija je izvijestila da se na prethodno neprijavljenom skupu u središtu grada okupilo nekoliko tisuća ljudi. U policijskom izvješću stoji da je nasilje izbilo nakon što su prosvjednici ignorirali upute i upozorenja njihovih pripadnika te su probili policijske prepreke.
Na istom su mjestu prijavljeni manji sukobi s protudemonstrantima. Policija je izvijestila da je nekoliko osoba privedeno, no nije objavljen točan broj.
