Najmanje 40 osoba ubijeno je u oružanim terorističkim napadima na dvije džamije u gradu Christchurchu, u Novom Zelandu, potvrdila je premijerka te zemlje Jacinda Ardern, javlja Anadolu Agency (AA).
Novozelandska policija potvrdila je kako su nepoznati napadači izveli oružani napad na džamiju Al-Noor u regiji Hagley Park, te na jednu džamiju u regiji Linwood, obje u gradu Christchurchu.
“U napadu je ubijeno najmanje 40 osoba. Ono što mogu kazati jeste da je ovo jedan od najmračnijih dana Novog Zelanda. Ono što se ovdje desilo je dosad neviđen čin nasilja”, kazala je premijerka Novog Zelanda Jacinda Ardern.
Napadi su izvedeni tokom obavljanja džuma-namaza, zajedničke molitve muslimana petkom, a iz policije također navode kako su nakon napada uhapšene četiri osobe, među kojima i jedna žena.
Nakon oružanog napada, novozelandska policija upozorila je da se zatvore sve džamije u zemlji.
U međuvremenu, australijski premijer Scott Morisson je potvrdio da je državljanin Australije jedan od napadača na džamije u Novom Zelandu
Šef policije Novog Zelanda Mike Bush izjavio je kako još uvijek ne može govoriti o broju poginulih i ranjenih u napadima. Nakon napada u Christchurcu obustavljena je nastava u školama, blokirane su brojne ulice, u bolnicama rade odjeli samo za hitne slučajeve, snage sigurnosti su u stanju alarma.
