Oko 250 hiljada muslimana u Palestini došlo je u okupirani istočni Al-Quds/Jerusalem kako bi u džamiji Al-Aksa obilježili Lejletu-l-kadr, najodabraniju noć u godini, koja je, prema islamskom učenju, vrednija od hiljadu mjeseci, javlja Anadolu Agency (AA).

U saopćenju Uprave islamskih vakufa Al-Qudsa navedeno je da se oko 250 hiljada muslimana okupilo u džamiji Al-Aksa povodom Lejletu-l-kadr.
S druge strane, ranije danas nastala je velika gužva zbog kontrolnih punktova izraelske vojske kada je na hiljade Palestinaca željelo doći u istočni Al-Quds sa okupirane Zapadne obale.
Ibrahim Azzam, koji je došao iz grada Nablusa na sjeveru Zapadne obale, rekao je za Anadolu Agency (AA) da “izraelski vojnici provjeravaju lične karte, pretražuju prtljag i namjerno odlažu dolazak vjernika u Al-Quds”.
Pošto izraelske vlasti ne dozvoljavaju Palestincima na Zapadnoj obali da svojim vozilima prođu kroz kontrolne punktove, primorani su da uđu pješice u Al-Quds.
Za muslimane Al-Aksa predstavlja treće najvažnije svetilište, a jevreji smatraju kako su na tom mjestu nekada postojala dva jevrejska hrama.
Kompleks Al-Akse koji se prostire na 15 posto površine starog jezgra Al-Qudsa nalazi se pod izraelskom okupacijom, a predstavlja tačku spajanja tri najveće religije svijeta.
