U izlijetanju putničkog aviona s piste prilikom slijetanja na međunarodni aerodrom “Sabiha Gokcen“ u Istanbulu, u srijedu, poginule su tri osobe, dok je 180 povrijeđeno, javlja Anadolu Agency (AA).
“Avion Pegasus Airlinesa dolazio je iz provincije Izmir na aerodrom u Istanbulu, kada se srušio prilikom slijetanja. Prema informacijama koje imamo, do udaranja u tlo aviona došlo je zbog teškog slijetanja“, izjavio je turski ministar transporta i infrastrukture Mehmet Cahit Turhan.
Turski ministar zdravstva Fahrettin Koca je novinarima kazao da se u avionu nalazilo ukupno 177 putnika i šest članova posade, napominjući da su poginule tri osobe.
Guverner Istanbula Ali Yerlikaya je također potvrdio da je povrijeđeno 180 osoba, uključujući 174 putnika i šest članova posade.
Istakao je da su se u avionu nalazila i 22 strana putnika iz 12 zemalja, dodajući da je avion, nakon što je izletio s piste, lebdio oko 50-tak metara nakon čega je pao s visine od oko 30 metara.
Na televizijskim snimcima se može vidjeti da se nos aviona gotovo potpuno odvojio od ostatka trupa, koji se nakon pada zapalio, ali je požar ubrzo ugašen.
Tužilaštvo u glavnom gradu Ankari otvorilo je istragu o incidentu, a aerodrom “Sabiha Gokcen“ ponovo je otvoren za vazdušni saobraćaj.
