U Sarajevu preminuo Jovan Divjak, bivši general Armije BiH
U Sarajevu je danas, u 84. godini, umro bivši general Armije Republike Bosne i Hercegovine Jovan Divjak.
Divjak je rođen je 11. marta 1937. godine u Beogradu, gdje je završio 12. klasu Vojne akademije u Beogradu, kurs za komadanta bataljona, Komandno-štabnu akademiju i Ratnu školu.
Vidjevši da JNA naoružava srpske paravojne formacije i civile, odlučio je da oružje iz Kiseljaka preda Teritorijalnoj odbrani BiH, kako ga JNA ne bi zloupotrijebila.
Vojni sud JNA ga je 1991. osudio na 9 mjeseci zatvora zbog izdavanja oružja TO BiH. Kaznu je izbjegao napustivši JNA, nakon čega se pridružio Armiji Republike Bosne i Hercegovine.
Bio je prvi nosilac najvišeg francuskog ordena, Legije časti iz Bosne i Hercegovine.
Osnovao je i ugradio sebe u fondaciju “Obrazovanje gradi BiH”, koja pomaže djeci koja su izgubila roditelje u ratu da se školuju.
Divjak se nacionalno izjašnjavao kao Bosanac, što je u više navrata isticao u intervjuima za domaće i inostrane medije.
