Večeras na nebu spektakularna meteorska kiša Perzeida
Ljubitelji astronomije i zvijezda “padalica” večera će moći uživati u spektakularnom prizoru na nebu koji se zove Meteorski roj Perzeidi. Riječ je o meteorskoj kiši koja se dešava svake godine u augustu.
Prema podacima NASA-e, očekuje se između 150 i 200 meteora po satu. Bitno je da odete što dalje od gradskih svjetala kako biste uživali u prizoru. Show počinje od 22 sata, a najveća količina očekuje se u tri sata ujutro. Potrebno je da gledati u pravcu istoka i jugoistoka. Meteori će ulijetati u Zemljinu atmosferu brzinom do 70 kilometara na sat i sagorjeti na visini od oko 100 kilometara.
Najraniji zapisi o Perzeidima, koji su ustvari ostaci komete Swift-Tuttle čiju orbitu Zemlja presijeca svakog ljeta, pojavljuju se u jednoj kineskoj hronici iz 36 godine n.e. Meteorska kiša dolazi iz pravca sazvijezđa Perzej. Komeza Swift-Tuttle je otkrivena 1862. godine, a posljednji put je viđena 1992. godine.
Posmatrači meteorske kiše moći će vidjeti i Mars oko četiri sta ujutro, te Saturn oko dva sata ujutro. Prije spektakularnog showa posmatrači će moći vidjeti Veneru i Jupiter.
