BiH pobjedom otvorila Ligu nacija: “Zmajevi” s 2:1 savladali Sjevernu Irsku
“Zmajevi” su slavili rezultatom 2:1 u prvoj zvaničnoj utakmici pod vodstvom selektora Roberta Proinečkog, a strijelci za BiH u Belfastu bili su Haris Duljević u 36. i Elvis Sarić u 64. minuti
Utakmica odigrana na Nacionalnom stadionu Windsor Park je ujedno i prva zvanična utakmica bh. reprezentacije pod vodstvom selektora Roberta Prosinečkog.
Od samog početka dosta konkretnija i ofanzavnija igra domaćina Sjeverne Irske, čije su reprezentativci zabilježili nekoliko prilika.
Prvu konkretnu priliku za BiH imao je kapiten Edin Džeko, koji šutira na asistenciju Edina Višće, no dobro je na golu postavljen Bailey Peacock-Farrell.
Šest minuta kasnije, Džeko ponovo u akciji, ovog puta asistira s lijeve strane, u kaznenom prostoru se sjajno snalazi Haris Duljević koji pogađa za vodstvo “zmajeva” 1:0. Bio je to i rezultat prvog poluvremena u Belfastu.
Sjeverna Irska je počela ofanzivno drugo poluvrijeme. Fudbaler Leeds Uniteda Stuart Dallas prijeti golu bh. reprezentacije, no sjano tamo brani Ibrahim Šehić.
Ponovo prilika Sjeverne Irske nekoliko minuta kasnije, glavom pokušava izjednačiti Kyle Lafferty, no refleksi Šehića pokazuju da je danas njegov dan.
U 64. minuti Elvis Sarić je odlično iskoristio grešku golmana Farrela te pogodio za vodstvo BiH od 2:0.
U nastavku još jedan sjajan pokušaj strijelca prvog pogotka Harisa Duljevića koji je s velike udaljenosti pogodio stativu.
Regularnih 90 minuta susreta završeno je vodstvom BiH od 2:0, no u sudijskoj nadoknadi Will Grigg je smanjio vodstvo BiH na 2:1, što je bio i konalan rezultat utakmice.
Reprezentacija BiH će u utorak, 11. septembra, na stadionu “Bilino polje”, u Zenici, odigrati drugi susret u Ligi nacija, a snage će odmjeriti sa selekcijom Austrije.
Liga nacija je novo takmičenje pod okriljem UEFA-e, koje za cilj ima da zamijeni prijateljske utakmice.
U takmičenju učestvuje 55 reprezentacija koje su podeljene u četiri lige (Liga A-D), dok svaka divizija ima po četiri grupe. U svakoj grupi učestvuje tri ili četiri tima i igraju se po dvokružnom bod sistemu.
