Džeko pogodio, Roma nije uspjela, u finalu United i Villarreal
Manchester United i Villarreal igrat će u finalu Evropske lige.
Crveni vragovi su u polufinalu eliminirali Romu ukupnim rezultatom 8:5. Nakon pobjede na Old Traffordu rezultatom 6:2, United je u Rimu poražen od Vučice rezultatom 3:2.
Cavani je u 39. minuti doveo engleski tim u vodstvo, a u 57. minuti Edin Džeko je drugim golom u ovom dvomeču izjednačio na 1:1. Tri minute kasnije Cristante je donio Romi preokret. Poslije toga Rimljani su preko Mkhtaryana, Džeke i Pedra promašili tri odlične prilike za novi pogodak, a promašaje je u 69. minuti kaznio Cavani za 2:2.
Rezervista Zalewski je u 83. minuti pogodio za trijumf Rome.
Džeko je igrao do 76. minute, a sezonu u Evropskoj ligi okončao je sa šest golova na kontu. Roma sljedeće sezone neće nastupiti u Evropi. Već je poznato da će na klupi Vučice sjediti Jose Mourinho.
U drugoj polufinalnoj utakmici u Londonu su meč bez pogodaka odigrali Arsenal i Villarreal. U finale ide španski predstavnik koji je u prvom meču trijumfovao rezultatom 2:1.
Finale Evropske lige igra se u poljskom Gdansku 26. maja.
