Studentica generacije na St. Francis koledžu: “Uzor mi je daidža Midhad Hujdur”
Nermina Markišić je prije zvaničnog okončanja studija uspjela potpisati svoj prvi profesionalni ugovor i danas radi na Wall Streetu.
Dijete je bošnjačkih izbjeglica, a kao najbolja studentica generacije na St. Francis koledžu u Brooklynu stekla je titulu diplomiranog politologa i pravnice.
Iako je rođena nakon završetka rata u BiH, ona naglašava kako su je priče o stradanju civila te pripadnika Armije Republike Bosne i Hercegovine tokom minulog rata, a samim tim i njenih roditelja te daidže Midhada Hujdura Hujke, dobitnika “Zlatnog ljiljana” i Ordena heroja oslobodilačkog rata, gurale naprijed i tjerale da uspije.
Ova američka Bošnjakinja, kako to za sebe voli reći, podvlači kako se jednog dana planira vratiti u BiH i da joj je to u konačnici jedan od najvećih životnih ciljeva.
Ima namjeru specijalizirati se u oblasti međunarodnog prava i pomoći BiH da brže i jače napreduje.
-Moji roditelji su me odgojili kao Bošnjakinju, a ne Amerikanku. Prva riječ koju sam progovorila bila je na bosanskom jeziku. Majka mi je stalno pričala o rahmetli Hujki, o tome kakav je čovjek bio, kako je uvijek bio ponosan i kako se hrabro borio za svoj Mostar. On zaslužuje da ga ljudi pamte. Svojom kapom na dodjeli diploma sam simbolično željela odati počast tom čovjeku kada već nisam imala priliku da me izvede na pozornicu- kaže Nermina, piše Stav.
