U Albaniji se gradi najveća džamija na Balkanu
Džamija Namazgah koju u Tirani, glavnom gradu Albanije, grade Turska fondacija Diyanet (TDV) u saradnji sa Upravom za vjerske poslove Republike Turske, po završetku radova bit će najveća džamija na Balkanu.
Polaganju kamena temeljca 2015. godine prisustvovao je i predsjednik Republike Turske Recep Tayyip Erdogan, a očekuje se da će džamija biti otvorena krajem 2018. godine.
Ataše za vjerska pitanja u ambasadi Republike Turske u Tirani Yasin Sengul kazao je kako su završeni grubi građevinski radovi i kao i gradnja četiri minareta sa šerefama.
Sengul je dodao kako su, između ostalog, u toku radovi na izolaciji, te da je u velikoj mjeri završeno oblaganje džamije kamenom i olovom.
Istaknuo je da su radovi u punom jeku kako bi gradnja džamije bila gotova do kraja naredne godine koja će po završetku biti najveća na Balkanu.
Ataše Sengul je rekao kako će džamija moći istovremeno primiti oko 5.000 vjernika, odnosno 10.000 uključujući vanjski prostor.
Prema njegovim riječima 90-ih godina prošlog stoljeća pojavila se inicijativa za gradnju džamije, koja je počela tek 2015.
Dodao je kako će ona biti “poklon Turske albanskoj braći“, a procjenjuje se da će troškovi gradnje doseći i 30 miliona eura, te da su dio sredstava omogućili i stanovnici Turske.
Džamijski kompleks će se sastojati i od radnih soba, biblioteke, kulturnog centra, parkinga, izložbenog salona, kafeterije i konferencijske sale. Pored džamije će biti izgrađen i muzej.
U Tirani je 1950-ih godina bilo 40 džamija, a danas ih je 18.
