Iračka vlada je saopćila kako je spreman mehanizam potreban za izbacivanje američkih snaga iz zemlje, javlja Anadolu Agency (AA).
“Pripremili smo mehanizam i plan potrebne za izbacivanje američkih vojnika iz Iraka”, saopćio je Abdul Kareem Khalaf, vojni glasnogovornik premijera Adela Abdula Mahdija, koji nije otkrivao detalje mehanizma.
Khalaf se osvrnuo i na prisustvo koalicije usmjerene protiv terorističke organizacije ISIS u Iraku te kazao kako će pomenute snage u zemlji moći ostati jedino kako bi pružale obuku i davale savjete iračkim vojnicima.
“Vlada je ograničila područje djelovanja koalicionih snaga. Trenutno im nije dozvoljeno nikakvo djelovanje“, rekao je Khalaf.
Govorio je i o ubistvu iranskog generala Qassema Soleimanija i zamjenika šefa Hashd al-Shaabija Abu Mahdija al-Muhandisa.
“Ovo što je urađeno je nepoželjna glupost. Soleimani je bio naš gost i nije smio biti meta“, rekao je Khalaf.
Komentarisao je i navode američkog predsjednika Donalda Trumpa da će uvesti sankcije Iraku.
”Njegove prijetnje sankcijama nisu ispravan stav. Iračka vlada će nastaviti ekonomsku saradnju sa SAD-om“, rekao je Khalaf.
